    East Chamber is looking to develop cooperation in energy with French Industry Minister

     


    The Board member of the Chamber and Chairman of the Industrial Committee Salman bin Mohammed Al-Jishi, stressed on the depth of bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of France and the durability of commercial and industrial relations. The French delegation during the meeting Al-Jishi industrially high-level Monday 25 November 2013 at Dammam main Chamber headed by French industry Minister Arnaud montborg, Secretary General of the Chamber Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al wabel had been exchanging views on economic relations between Saudi Arabia and France, especially in the industrial field, noting that the eastern region, which hosts the largest complex producing oil, gas and petrochemicals, the Kingdom and the region's most attractive to domestic and foreign industrial investments. 
    Al-Jishi said that the trade office between the two countries actually which opened earlier to investors on both sides contributed to promoting trade and industrial cooperation between businessmen in both countries to increase mutual trade missions to promote strategic partnerships and to develop cooperation in new sectors such as in the sectors of peaceful nuclear energy, solar energy, energy efficiency and health. He said French industry Minister montborg is keen to develop economic relations with the Kingdom, noting that France is trying to keep up with the growing demand for partnership business with Saudi Arabia, particularly in the eastern region,explaining that the office will provide new services, facilities and additional advantages to promote cooperation between the two countries in the fields of tourism, trade and investments. He noted that French investment in third place in the list of foreign investments, working in the Saudi market more than 70 French companies invested an estimated $ 15 billion.

    He said: ' we are working closely with the Saudi Government and companies for the development of cooperation in economic sectors including industrial, commercial and other traditional. Montobrog said that the volume of trade between Saudi Arabia and France stood at 8.7 billion Euros in 2012, an increase of 13 percent from the year 2011, adding that the value of imports from France last year reached 2.3 billion Euros, against Saudi exports amounted to 5.5 billion Euros.
